if the prod is that effective, one would think the car mfgers would be lining up to

it provides for real world, testable and repeatable statistical improvements is another issue.........

I would agree with everything you just said, but one thing gets in the way....and that is the fact that I actually tried out the Sprint Booster and noticed a difference.
Repeatable? Absolutely.......every time I step on the pedal.
Testable? I don't know....maybe it improves the 0-60 by 0.1 or 0.2 seconds, maybe it doesn't, but unless you are racing against other cars or measuring acceleration times to see whose "times" are faster then it really doesn't matter to me. What is much more important for me on day to day "real world" driving is how much quicker if feels with the SB vs. without it, and that is repeatable. That "feel" is real for me......but whether it translates into a measurable amount in the 0-60 acceleration is irrelevant in my day to day driving.
I think I mentioned this in one of my "banters" above, but just to elaborate more..........the difference that the Sprint Booster makes is MUCH more noticeable on my 545 with the V8 then it is on my wife's X5 3.0i. It definitely makes a noticeable difference on the X5 3.0 by making it's otherwise anemic acceleration be more in par with her old E53 3.0....which is all she wanted anyways. However, with the 545 the Sprint Booster gives it an almost violent kick when you accelerate. The push back into the seat is immediate and much more intense than without the SB when accelerating from a stop, or even when going 50-70 MPH etc. This is something I haven't been able to emulate with just mashing the pedal down all the way fast when the SB is removed.
