Here, a dad usually buys his children cars when they get their license. It's the norm here. Before that, they usually have a driver who drives them around. No one walks to his friend's house here unless they're next door neighbors or something

Yes it's under his dad's name, but it's "his" car. As in his personal use and no one else usually drives it.
