I know how this feels. I lived in a high construction area. I got screwed twice in my 350Z. One time i drove over a .25" drill bit which popped my tire instantly - that was $300 down the toilet. I still have the drill bit
Another time I was driving home, they had shutdown one street quite a ways for construction. I got so frustrated after the 5th or 6th time turning around that I didn't realize I was all of the sudden driving un a new un-opened piece of road. I took off like a bat out of hell and it was too late before i was inbetween two curbed pieces of road with 3 dollies in the middle and dirt road after it. It was either rage the hell out of my rims on the curb-check and risk suspension damage or take on the dollies. So i bounced these things off the front of my car. Cracked my bumper and one put a massive dent in the hood. When i stopped again to survey the damage I realized that it had also sheared the top plastic part of my door frame off as well. This cost me over $1K. It was mostly my fault but there were no signs either. Go figure.
mod guard is prob reasonably simple to install i would imagine. As for bumper you might have to pay the piper.
