A little OT, but in one of the somewhat recent Fortune issues, there was an article on oil shale. Apparently, we have 3x more than the Saudi oil reserves, in Colorado, Wyoming and Utah. 30 years in the making, Shell's got over 200 patents submitted on new processes of bringing the stuff up (which is pretty cool in itself) and refining it. China and other parts of Asia have a crapload too. In the next 10 years we should start seeing some of it.
