I agree!

My vote is for: Cabazon (world class outlet shopping, but a good 1.5 hours away)

I also love South Coast Plaza, Rodeo Drive and The Beverly Center, The Grove is just too busy!

In San Diego there are the Viejas Outlets and Carlsbad Company Stores for outlets, also Fashion Valley is nice
