I don't understand why the US doesn't allow such items. BMW has had TV Function, Online Function for years in the EU. I bet we won't get Connected Drive for the same reason the above don't come here: the litigous nature of our society.

On the other hand, BMW can engineer brilliant ideas like this. But they can't make the new automatic gearbox work with the "old" software interface in the X3.
