The guy in BMW service center called me and told me that the fault code indicated the problem was the precharge pump of DSC. He said they would check the wiring harness to see if there was electric power to the pump, if there was no problem with electric power, then the precharge pump was dead and needed to be replaced. I asked for the cost, he said the part costed about US$1200 plus labor cost. What the fuck???!!!
I told the guy that just tried to clear the fault code and run the car for test to see if the fault came again. He said they could do it for me but the chance was very low, since there were more than 200 faults in the memory.
Do you guys have any idea on this? If it is the precharge pump of DSC (Compressor DSC, part number 34511165905) dead, can I replace it myself? Is it easy to do the replacement? Thanks for help!
