The taillights on current E90 sedan look outdated. If you look at the taillights at night side-by-side with other BMWs(incl 1-series), its clear that they are not as bright as other BMWs. So with the facelift the butterfly shape of taillights will change to traditional BMW L shape and it will have the X6 style LEDs.
The white tape on the E90 LCI mule is metal part.
