I am not really sure if it is worth it. It depends on how much you can and want to do yourself. If you do not want to touch the car yourself, then it is probably worth it.

I have a 4.4 at the dealer for a fuel pump today and they called me and told me my brakes were shot (no indicator light came on ). I know there isn't much left on them regardless, so I ordered the parts today for a DIY. The dealer quoted me $1,200 for a full brake job. No thank you. I bought the parts for only $420 and they are good quality Centric rotors and Axxis XBG pads.

If you are a DIY sort of person you can save a lot of money doing the general maintenance yourself. Especially with all of the great advice and how-to articles on this site.
