I know there are some hockey fans here so I'll post the question:
Should Chris Pronger be suspended and for how long, for his alleged stomp with his skate on Ryan Kesler?
WTF am I talking about??? (You East Coast hockey fans forget about the Western teams.

) During the Anaheim-Vancouver game on Wednesday night in Anaheim, Pronger and Kesler collided with Kesler going down. It appears that Pronger's feet were tangled in Kesler's legs and then it appears as though Pronger stomps down on Kesler's leg. (I wrote that as objectively as I could. The video illustrates it better, of course.) I think that it was an intention stomp. Whether Pronger intended to cause injury is irrelevant. It speaks to the lack of respect for other players and the game. Also, Pronger is a repeat offender. As of right now, the NHL has declined to discipline Pronger but is undertaking another review based on new video. Compare zero punishment with the 30 games Chris Simon got for stomping on Jaarko Ruutu's foot earlier this season. Add to that, another Canuck was out for 40 some odd games for a cut on his calf and Cory Perry is currently out with the same type of injury, plus Richard Zhednik had his throat slashed. All of those cases were accidents but it highlights the point that skates can cause serious injury.
Pronger is a dirty player and should not escape discipline because he is a marquee player and he wears the "C" for The Ducks.
Thoughts?
