OK - just got the ebay one. Opened up the area where that cable goes from the inside handle to the assembly.

I took some pics with my camera phone - looks like where the cable attaches to the assembly - that has been broken off. I didnt have much light to try the entire removal /replacement. This weekend if it's warmer i'll try again.







any help appreciated. I think I'll be ok with the door carrier replacement though.
