i always loved CA eversince i moved here in 1993 and loved the good stuffs, but cost of living is just crazy especially the housing market. I've always seen that part, though it was not as bad a decade ago but still. A guy who bought a 700K house few years ago has realized that it is now valued at $500K and he owes more than the value is just an example of how bad it has become. When i look at other houses in other states that looks identical and sometimes even better than CA houses, and yet they pay a lot less on their mortgage and property taxes, it makes me envy them.
I heard monkey junction (?) in SC or NC is a pretty good area. I wonder about the employment section....
