Being in Laboratory I'm knee deep in requests for interfaces and IT solutions.

I'm thinking medical industry IT is definitely the way to go but how do you go about finding an "in" to this really? I work for an IT corporation doing web applications and have no idea how to make a move toward the medical industry (leaving my current job) doing the same kind of work.
