Vendors that wish to integrate with technologies that don't have standards have to choose what they will support. That's why many of us (me included) caved in to the pressure and just went the iPod route. For whatever your thoughts are on Apple and monopolies, the iPod simply works and I never wasted a minute fooling with mine to get it to work with the X5. Our time is worth something and at this point, I am comfortable with my decision to cave and not waste any more time on this!
