I could pull the engine and do a total rebuild. That said I wouldn't...Now. Once upon a time I would take that on as I've build a handful of engines from scratch (pistons, rods, cam, crankshaft). Today there is just not enough time and it is hard to look good in a suit for work after spending a weekend wrenching on the vehicle.

Just today I was thinking I'd replace the front disk brakes and pads which are about due for replacement. I thought about it for about 3 seconds and decided to make an appointment at the local independent shop. I'd rather pay for the convenience. Now...When my son is old enough I will get back to wrenching so he can learn to respect cars.
