DKL: I got the Secure Care which is one notch below the Luxury Care...I don't have any "high end electronics" to cover, and the top tier and my tier are pretty close. It's a pick 'em for what floats your boat.

I paid $2Gs for 4 yrs/75K miles with a $100 deductible...that's 75k miles Total on the existing odo, so I have about 30 K miles of real coverage, which should be 2 yrs+ for me. It also included the Add On emissions coverage. Prices are notching up a touch lately, and my price was based upon a "quote" from a month ago, plus some on-line discounts, plus a v.good phone rep, willing to work with me.

Exclusions are few and normal:

Exclusions:Battery; shock absorbers; manual transmission clutch assembly; friction clutch disc & pressure plate; throw out bearing; manual and hydraulic linkages; GPS/navigation systems; safety restraint systems; glass; lenses; sealed beams; bulbs; brake rotors & drums; TV/video/game systems; weather strips; exterior body parts/ornamentation; paint; upholstery & carpet; tires; wheels/rims; phone systems; exhaust and emissions systems.

(Unless optional Emissions coverage has been purchased and indicated on membership card. See below for coverage)

Maintenance services and parts described in your vehicle's owner's manual as supplied by the manufacturer. (i.e. oil changes, tune-ups, brake pads, belts, hoses and spark plugs)

The Opt. Emissions Coverage covers the following:

Optional Emissions Coverage:

Air Fuel Ratio Sensor, Air Induction System, Air Pump, Anti-Knock Sensor, Barometric Pressure Sensor, Canister Purge Solenoid, Deceleration Valve, EGR Recirculation System, EGR/EFE Thermal Vacuum Switch, EGR/EFE Valve, Engine Oil Fill Cap, Fuel Fill Pipe and Cap, Fuel Fill Neck Restrictor, Fuel Receptacle, Fuel Sensor, Fuel Tank Pressure Control Valve (PCV), Fuel Temperature Sensor, Idle Air Control Valve, Intake Air Resonator, Intake Air Temperature Sensor, Intake Manifold, Manifold Air Pressure (MAP) Sensor, Mass Air Flow Sensor, Oil/Air Separator, Oxygen Sensor, PCV System, Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve, Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Secondary Air Injection System, Throttle Body Assembly (MFI).

I have had no "use" of this warr., so time will tell how they work. Both WarrDirect and OneSource appear to be the companies of choice from my digging.

I am Not pitching WarrDirect or OneSource OR getting an Ext Warr. of any kind. This is for info purposes only and "do your own DD" as they say on the stock boards, lol!
