If you want to be technical "yes". If you want to be real then we use all kinds of words out of their exact meaning to illustrate or drive a point (an intended meaning) home. That is to say "Frequently, acronyms are formed that use existing words (and sometimes the acronym is invented first and the phrase name represented is designed to fit the acronym). Everyone knows you can't "lynch" a campaign with a rope. So "lynch" in this case becomes an acronym.
