Here's another route you could go...tell your credit card company. The servicer agreement that the dealership has with the card provider says that they cannot refuse credit card transactions for any reason other than maxed out or stolen cards. If they accept credit cards, then they MUST accept them for ALL purchases or they are in violation of their agreement. You many want to discuss this fact with the GM so that he can 'make the right call' before you do.
