I've had the same problem fixed...Same thing with the smoke and everything.

Replace the oil seperator...Replace the valve cover gasket for good measure.

You might want to check your valve cover it self. I had to replace that too. It was cracked and leaking, causing the smoke from the engine bay but no oil actually leaking onto the ground. It was actually leaking onto another part so there was no oil spots on the ground.
