The oem 214 and the dunlop summer tires are not recommend for snow weather. I know. I purchase the x5 4.8i, 3 weeks ago with oem dunlop tires and we in Michigan have our late winter 8 inch snow 2 weeks ago. The oem tires are very slippery and the braking traction is horrible. I purchase a set of 18' rims ( 210 ) with runflat all season tires from a x5 world member with 200 miles on it and plan to swap out my 214 next winter. I choose the 18' over the 19' because winter tires on the 19 are very expensive and lack of selection available.
