X6 In Person

The design is amazing! My FX pales in comparison. The X5 (Which I was/am considering) looked like a generic SUV in comparison. As much I love Black, this color hides a lot of the details of the car, the X6 looked better in silver. I was disappointed for not seeing it in VR or Space gray since these are the colors I’m leaning towards.
Space: I am 6’6” and fit very comfortably in the driver seat. The back seats are, as one would expect a different story, you need to be 6’ or shorter to fit. The trunk was surprisingly spacious.
Though this post does not provide new info, I am sharing my experience for those who have not seen the car in person and still on the fence. Not to mention, I’ve noticed a slow down in the activity on this forum
In summary: Pictures don’t do this car justice; the car is absolutely beautiful and I can’t wait for a test drive…. The sales guy (which was very knowledgeable) said they’ll have them pretty soon!!

PS. For whatever its worth: The cars main demographics, based on the small sample I observed, are guys in their 30’s/40’s or empty nesters. No soccer moms!!
Nice post.I appreciate the info.I note your comparison of the X6 with the 2nd Gen X5.I caught some pic's and vid's of the Diesel X5 on the Performance Center track in the last couple of days.(I've got to get those posted).I've got to be careful what I say here because the X5 is a fantastic SUV and has a huge following on this website. But when I compared the high speed runs of the X5 and the X6 on the PC track, the X5 seemed to be moving in slow motion, although I would suspect their entrance and exit speeds into that banked curve where I stand is probably about the same. It's just the way the X6 design plays w/ your perception of size and motion. The X6 just looks like it's moving faster on the track, just like it looks smaller across a parking lot than it really is up close.I'm not drinking the X6 KoolAid!! Your comment about the X6 making the new X5 look generic just dovetailed with my thoughts as I watched the X5 and X6 vids back to back.No offense intended but the X5 looked like a truck going around the track, the X6 looked like a sports car.I don't think BMW will have any problem differentiating the two cars.Thanks.
