Has anyone try using these flip up/down base with their GPS Navigation aftermarket garmin nuvi models 760, 770 or 780 on their X3? This is a base made to be used on certain type of Volvo models. Since Nav retrofit kits for BMW X3s are so expensive and are only sold in the european market has anyone consider this for their X3s in North America? It comes with bluetooth and some of the models have an FM transmitter built in so you can make cell-calls using the speakers of your radio system without having the need to tap into the wiring of the speaker system. All you will need is power from the car. It would be cool if it some how can be installed on the compartment where the real BMW Navigation system screen is located on the X3. This will eliminate the need of having to remove it from the base when not using the car, by just flipping down the base and then the lid of the compartment.
