Solved the door lock problem, due to the car had been in a garage with battery disconnected the system reverted it self back to when the car was new i.e when the cars are delivered new to the garages the door locking system is set for manual only.I took it to the BMW garage and they switched the system back via a lap top in seconds and it was free,amazing. You're one lucky guy to have the dealer fixed that for free. Mine cost 225.00 U.S.. When my battery went out, somehow the fault code tripped the security system to Transport Mode. This means that you have to use the keep manually. They reset it back to Sales Mode and the key fob can now open and lock all of my doors. I had tried to tell them that was the problem but the technician ended up working on it for 1.5 hours trying to figure it out. 225.00 just to reset a fault code. Ouch!!!
