Then again, up in parts of Sweden, it's dark for the majority of 24h during winter. Would be cool to visit though..

Sorry, this is getting off-track, and I still don't have an answer for better highbeams. Perhaps you could adjust the height of the headlamps manually. There are usually 2 screws at the back of the headlamp unit.
