The steering wheel on my '01 X5 makes a repetitive " clacking" sound when the ignition is turned to ON or OFF position, as the steering wheel moves vertically up or down,. No noise when adjusting wheel IN or OUT or when turning. Someone is telling me that this is caused by the "Vertical" motor and needs to be replaced. Anybody knows what's that ??? Any ideas guys ?? Please help, THANKS.
