No worries. That's what we're here for.

I only did it once. As Bozo stated, Dawn strips any wax build-up you may have, so it is not necessary to do it more than once. The concept here it to apply the Zaino system on "pure" paint, not on top of other (older) wax. That's why they recommend that -- at least on your first time -- you wash it with Dawn and clay it. Now, after you've done all of this for the first time, you just need to "maintain" it with the occasional wash (with Z7) and "dusting off" with Z6.

Zaino says that you can indeed use the wax and even the clay bar (after you've clayed the car, of course) on the rims.
