I have found 2 of them for about 28k price range, 05 with 48k on both. Not bad of a price. Thats why I'm thinking about it. But Investment is where I need to be in a tough economy that we are in today.

If your X drives and looks great, if you still like it and you have already paid for it then it is a no brainer IMO. Even if you have a tranny issue or any other usual issue in the next 20k miles it will still cost you thousands less than paying for a 3 or 4 years old BMW. My X5 4.4 will reaching 100k in the next month or so and I went through the same thinking. It has been paid since day one of ownership back 6 years ago, I have kept it in perfect condition, it looks and drives great and I still get the 'wow that is a nice car' from a lot of people. I know everything about this car, what has been changed and what may break in the future. My warranty will expire in 2 months but I am still planning to keep it for another 2 or 3 years and may be more.
