If youve NEVER purchased a used car, here are some tips.

Regardless of whatever the previous owner or sales person tells you about thei maintenance history, change all fluids: Motor oil/filter, brake fluid, transfercase, differential, transmission fluid (if mileage high), radiator coolant.

Check the brake pads and rotors...
Open all doors, windows and check for operation and noise... Check for cracks in the door seal gaskets, moisture in the head, tail and signal lamps...
Check the tire pressure (add/deflate as needed).
Check steering wheel alignment
