I have the D70... which was light years ahead of the Rebel 300, but the new 350 has really narrowed the gap. They're both great cameras, but the D70 has a much better user interface, IMO. Also, I like the Nikon matrix metering system, the industry-leading 1/500sec flash sync, and the DOF preview button.

Canon is DEFINITELY the better marketing company... they make sure to have a truck full of fancy white 'L' glass for pro's to use at every big sporting event!!
