There is no chemical or wax that you can put on your car that is going to reduce or prevent paint chips. The only solutions are a clearbra product such as Clearbra,Ventureshield, 3M paint protector,Armourfend (U.K I guess) etc. or an acrylic hood deflector. IMO the clearbra products are the way to go. As far as waxes go there are two types Carnuaba and Sealers. Carnuaba which is a true wax has great reflectivity and generally does not last very long. Also, with wax you have to find a good Carnuaba enriched formula,Swissvax,Victoria Wax, Zymol Carbon wax, P21S, Pinnacle are good waxes. Sealer's such as Zaino, Jetseal, Duraglos CCP will give excellent shine and long durability but do require proper prep work to prepare the paint for sealing. It really come down to personal preference.
