One of my first and most memorable experiences involved a Southern rock band who had just changed their name from Hourglass to the Allman Brothers Band. My best friend freaked out- we couldn't find him and it turned out he'd been lost in the woods most of the night. When we finally did find him he was sitting at the head of the table between Barry Oakley (their bass player now passed on) and some beautiful hanger on in the dining room along with most of the the band and a lot of others. Eating scrambled eggs and smoking something big and tasty smelling.

Those were the days......
