I'm in a similar situation although I have about a year to decide. My E90 lease is up in June of '09 and I was thinking ahead. The gas prices has complicated matters. Like you, I'm trying to plan ahead. I'm also not hot on hybrids due to the higher initial cost and the time it would take to break even on it and the battery will go dead and that will be a pricey fix, not to mention the environmental issue.
