I am trying to buy 2006 X5 3.0 Manual Black\Brown Leather Premuim Package, Sports package ,25,500 Miles from a private dealer. I ran the car fax and it says previously leased car in Fl. This dealer bought this truck in auction in Georgia. He advertised it for $33K (Way above than market) but negotiated on phone to $28K as I live in TX. So if I need to buy this one I am going to pay $28K+$1K for shipping +$2000 for tax and tags=$31K in total. I got this one inspected through my friend who lives in MD but I am planning to go there and inspect the truck myself befor handing over the check. I know all this sound silly butI want a manual X5 and not able to get one in my area.
Please suggest if I can buy and If i can buy this from a private dealer. Do you guys think I will regret with this purchase with gas at $4 and no resale value for SUV's and particularly manual.
