But just see what hte manufacturer date is on the sticker on the inside of the door - ask the dealer to read it to you.
I don't think you'll regret the purchase, if you can afford the x5 in the first place and the maint, gas is a minor concern LOL. Well depends how much you drive too. The manual will help you get a little bit more mpg's.
