I do think, however, that the gas price thing could actually work in the X3s advantage--it might bring in a buyer who was looking for a bigger SUV and who wants the relative efficiency of a smaller, sporty X3.
What model year will the new X3 redesign be for?

If i recall correctly the new x3 should be a MY 2010...... In my experience with Carmax they tend to buy your car for 4K-6K less than what they sell it for........... of course that depends greatly on a number of factors.....
The x3 is decent on fuel but when the $5 gas hits I think the word "SUV" is going to scare people regardless of what its actual mileage is. At the same time it should making SUVs a relative bargain if that is indeed what you are looking for. Last I saw X5/X3 sales are down about 40% this year......
Our 07 x3 lease will be up in Nov 09.... At this point I'm leaning towards an 535xiT........ but a lot could change between now and then....
