yes this is the OEM BMW part. I bought it painted from another X5 enthusiast who sold his X5 prior to installing it.

The quality of the paint job appears quite good; however, it IS a skid plate. This one is painted titanium silver with BMW paint. I imagine you could buy one for $148 and pay about $100 to have it painted.

I think I'm going to put her on ebay.
