In a long ago career, I was involved with non-destructive testing/inspection products and became,
(for my sales success & own survival), very savvy on the radioactive and nuclear processes, and
their effect on "us". Sort of a layman's semi-smartypants on the physics involved...

Growing up as a kid in the '50s, hiding under the desk during "drills", and then coming to realize the
nearly indescribable power of nuclear fission, gives me some pause...the pic is a reminder, to me.
