Unfortunately there are partisan band wagon jumpers in both parties who will take the side of an issue because the DNC or RNC tells them so. Obama and Clinton being for this measure is usually enough for Democrats to back this issue. Same goes for McCain supporters. It was obvious from scirocco's response that this was not the case.
