Not to distract from the last post, but my spouse has suddenly decided not to go through with the trade. Perhaps one of the only ways I can revive this is to go back to 19" tires (because of cost, wear, weather) but get a wheel that looks something like BMW's 20" 'honeycombs'.

Is this a lost cause are is there something out there that would make a difference? Or does the size of the tire also play into the perception of how balanced the X5 looks?
