You can work around this by having the auto lock when driving off function turned off. This will keep you from having to double pull the door handles all the time. Of course, this means your doors will not be locked when your are driving around.

One other option would be to install an aftermarket alarm - one that would lock and unlock your doors upon startup and turnoff.
