And that's how it is here. You don't need to learn english here to get by. You can probably get by in your native language.

Montreal's a bit different, because Canada is legally bilingual. Quebec City is different, you will have a tough time getting anything done in English unless you're a kid simply because they won't listen to you.
I ordered something at starbucks in montreal in french, and they shouted the order across to the coffee maker in perfect english.
