the only way a signal would not get through is if there was metal in the paint.

don't know about EZ pass, but the Fastrak we have in the Bay Area technically doesn't belong to the owner of the car; they expect us to return it eventually, either for replacement because of battery, malfunction, or updating; so make sure you actually own it.
