Since a mechanis replaced the steering wheel cover, you might inquire if he removed the steering whhel. If he did he may have lined up the splines wrong when he remounted it, which would make it sit crooked. If you remove the airbag (search) the steering wheel can be adjusted by removing the 16mm bolt.
