Hi flyingmachine,

I did not remove the oil separator unit, I did however clean the top and the connections before installing the new hoses. I think if you are interested in completely removing the oil separator you may have to remove the intake manifold to gain access to the bracket that the oil separator is fastened to. I would have to double check this to make sure against the TID or Bentley to be sure but from what I can remember I believe this is the case.
