1)if you tapp only one chanel (L) and when the CD -track recorded for bass for the right chanel then you will not hear the bass on the L chanel
2)yes i did combine my two chanels input converter to that one chanel i tapped and I can hear the bass everytime it hit.
3) running the converter by using low level jack will let the AMP runng cooler.
