You could try unplugging it and replugging it again in case it might be just dirty contacts. Also check the fuse/s associated with the unit.
North Hollywood repair (check the web) have ads in the Roundel mag. all the time. Given your distance from them they MAY offer some advice other than send it to us but I don't know them so cannot say for sure.
