For those Sony SXRD's, can you think of a national retailer that is selling those? I'd like to take a look at one in the flesh.

Thanks for bein the TV Swami, Chris.

Sorry to kinda hijack the thread, md.

The SXRDs *just* came out -- literally, like a week ago! The big chain stores won't have them for another 3-4 weeks, but the smaller stores might have them. If you can hang tight for a week or two you can see if they are going to start trickling in.

The models #s are

KDS-R50XBR1 (50" SXRD) Retail $4k

KDS-R60XBR1 (60" SXRD) Retail $5k

There is a 70" Version of the set, that is called the "Qualia". Qualia is Sonys top of the line brand. The Qualia has been out for about a year now and is based upon this technology. In fact, these smaller sets are supposed to have better LCOS panels than the $13,000 Qualia. Gotta love how quickly technology is changing (and going down in price!).

You can get 15%-20% off MSRP on the new Sony SXRDs if you are patient and call around. Check out www.crutchfield.com for more info and specs.
