Just curious, Did that person steal the whole hood emblem including the metal base ? I had a similar case where I thought someone stole my hood emblem but after further investigation, I realized the base metal was left behind and the top portion (BMW emblem with logo) was ripped off as I was driving at high speed. Typical common problem in our X5 trucks.....
