I'm sort of surprised by some of those results. I'm surprised the FX running a 5.0 V8 posts better fuel economy then a smaller motor using turbos to get its power. I was also surprised that the FX V8 produces such a low torque number, maybe 7 speed autos can't handle 400+ torque levels

But most surprising was the FX costing $7,000 less from the jump then its Bimmer rival in V8 to V8 trims. I wonder what optioning them out changes their relative costs to?

The FX offers more gadgets and is significantly less expensive than the X6 — with a base price of $40,950 for the rear-wheel-drive FX35, the Infiniti line starts about $12,000 less than an entry-level X6, a gap that narrows to about $7,000 when you step up to the V-8 models.
makes me wonder why they compared the two, kind of like the M5 vs SRT8 300 compos
