i'm more interested in 80-120 time rather than 0-60 as I live in Canada (woohoo! haha) and drive mostly on highways.

As far as I know, it goes well but revvss and screams crazy, also I know that it ain't gonna be faster than many higher end sedans or coupes.

bottom line, i don't know exactly know how fast it goes but I know it goes when i need it to (which i keep to a minimum ).

for the engine performance comment, I am not an expert but from reading some of the posts here on the forum I am able to suspect
that peak engine performance depends on silly (as in.. unpredictable) personal and environmental factors such as how the break-in is done, daily driving style, temperature of your region, some say around 15,000k it performs best (either better gas milage per power production, as in better power efficiency or net max power produced at peak RPM)

to me, better performance means max torque and power promised by the BMW and unless you test the vehicle on a dino frequently i don't think that can be predicted accurately.

For all I know, we all think we are getting the 355 BHP (whatever it is) but no one really knows if our 4.8s are actually giving us all of the power promised by BMW.

Sorry I mumble
